Matthew 27:62-66

And evening already coming,
since it was preparation day, which is before the Sabbath,
Joseph from Arimathea, a prominent member of the council,
who was himself also expecting the sovereignty of God,
coming having summoned his courage
went in to Pilate and requested the body of Jesus.

And Pilate wondered if he had already died,
and calling forward the centurion
he asked him if he had already died;
and discovering it from the centurion
he granted the corpse to Joseph.

And having bought linen,
taking him down he wrapped him with the linen
and laid him in a tomb which was hewn out of rock,
and he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.
And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses
saw where he was laid.
Mark 15:42-47

And evening coming, a wealthy person from Arimathea,
named Joseph, came,
who himself also had become a disciple of Jesus;
this one approaching Pilate requested the body of Jesus.
Then Pilate ordered it to be given away to him.

And taking the body Joseph wrapped it in clean linen,
and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn in the rock,
and having rolled a big stone to the door of the tomb
he went away.
And Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there,
sitting opposite the grave.
Matthew 27:57-61

And look, a man named Joseph who belonged to the council,
a good and just man---
he was not agreeing with the council and their action---
from Arimathea a Judean town,
who was expecting the sovereignty of God,
approaching Pilate he requested the body of Jesus,
and taking it down he wrapped it with linen,
and laid him in a hewn tomb,
where no one had ever been laid.

And it was preparation day, and the Sabbath was dawning.
And following behind, the women
who had come with him from Galilee
saw the tomb and how his body was laid,
and returning they prepared spices and ointment.
And they rested on the Sabbath
according to the commandment.
Luke 23:50-56

And after these things Joseph from Arimathea,
being a disciple of Jesus
but secretly because of the fear of the Jews,
asked Pilate so that he might take the body of Jesus;
and Pilate permitted it.

So he came and took his body.
And Nicodemus also,
who had come to him by night at the first,
came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes
of about a hundred pounds.

So they took the body of Jesus
and bound it in bandages with the spices,
as it is the custom to bury the Jews.
And at the place were he was crucified there was a garden,
and in the garden a new tomb,
in which no one had ever been laid.
Therefore due to the Jewish preparation day,
because the tomb was near, they laid Jesus there.
John 19:38-42

And the next day, which is after preparation day,
the high priests and the Pharisees assembled before Pilate
saying, "Lord, we were reminded that
that deceiver said while living, 'After three days I rise.'
Therefore command the grave
to be secured until the third day,
lest the disciples coming should steal him
and say to the people, 'He was raised from the dead,'
and the last deception will be worse than the first."

Pilate said to them, "Take a guard;
go secure it as you know how."
And proceeding they secured the grave
sealing the stone with the guard.
Matthew 27:62-66
