Thomas 4

And getting up from there
he goes into the region of Judea and across the Jordan,
and again crowds travel with him,
and as was his custom again he taught them.

And Pharisees approaching questioned him
if it was permitted for a man to divorce his wife, testing him.

And answering he said to them,
"What did Moses command you?"

And they said, "Moses allowed one
to write a certificate of divorce and to divorce."

But Jesus said to them,
"For your hardness of heart
he wrote you this commandment.
But from the beginning of creation
male and female he made them;
on account of this a person will leave his father and mother,
and the two will be one flesh;
so they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore what God joined together,
let a person not separate."

And in the house again
the disciples questioned him about this.

And he says to them,
"Whoever divorces his wife and marries another,
commits adultery with her;
and if she having divorced her husband marries another,
she commits adultery."
Mark 10:1-12

And it happened when Jesus finished these words
that he moved from Galilee
and came to the region of Judea across the Jordan.
And large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.

And Pharisees approached him testing him and saying,
"Is it permitted to divorce one's wife for any cause?"

And answering he said, "Have you not read that
the one creating from the beginning
made them male and female?
And he said, 'On account of this
a person will leave father and mother
and be united with his wife,
and the two will be one flesh;'
so they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore what God joined together,
let a person not separate."

They say to him, "Why then did Moses command one
to give a certificate of divorce and to divorce?"

He says to them, "Moses for your hardness of heart
allowed you to divorce your wives;
but from the beginning it was not so.
But I tell you that whoever divorces his wife,
except for fornication,
and marries another, commits adultery."

The disciples say to him,
"If such is the case of a person with a wife,
it is better not to marry."

And he said to them, "Not all can accept this word,
but those to whom it has been given.
For there are eunuchs who were born so from a mother's womb,
and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by people,
and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs
because of the sovereignty of heaven.
Let the one who can accept this accept it."
Matthew 19:1-12

And they brought him children so that he might touch them;
but the disciples reprimanded them.

But seeing it Jesus was indignant and said to them,
"Allow the children to come to me, do not prevent them;
for of such is the sovereignty of God.
Amen, I tell you,
whoever does not welcome the sovereignty of God like a child,
may not enter into it."
And taking them in his arms
he blesses them putting his hands on them.
Mark 10:13-16

Then children were brought to him,
so that he might put his hands on them and pray;
but the disciples reprimanded them.

But Jesus said, "Allow the children
and do not prevent them from coming to me;
for of such is the sovereignty of heaven."
And putting his hands on them he went from there.
Matthew 19:13-15

And they brought to him also babies
so that he might touch them;
but the disciples seeing reprimanded them.

But Jesus called them to him saying,
"Allow the children to come to me and do not prevent them;
for of such is the sovereignty of God.
Amen, I tell you,
whoever does not welcome the sovereignty of God like a child,
may not enter into it."
Luke 18:15-17

Jesus saw children who were being suckled.
He said to his disciples,
"These children who are being suckled
are like those who enter the sovereignty."

They said to him, "If we are children,
shall we enter the sovereignty?"

Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one,
and when you make the inner like the outer
and the outer like the inner and the higher like the lower,
in order to make the male and the female into a single one,
so that the male will not be male and the female not be female;
when you make eyes in place of an eye,
and a hand in place of a hand,
and a foot in place of a foot,
an image in place of an image,
then you will enter the sovereignty."
Thomas 22

Jesus said, "The man old in days will not hesitate to ask
a child of seven days about the place of life,
and he will live.
For many who are first will be last,
and they will become a single one."
Thomas 4
